Create Backup of your notes
When using PopitNG, a file containing all the notes informations and data is created.
--> This file is called by default popit.dat (located in the directory "PopitNG Files" in "My Documents")
Then PopitNG store informations in the registry (location for notes, color, families,etc...)
Here is the Key that you have to backup : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PopitNG
You can also just recreate the families if you want to move your notes on an other PC and do not forget to move the "popit.dat" file.
Move then the file PopitNG.exe, create a shortcut and it's done...

Exchange notes through the network
All you need to do is to open the system menu of PopitNG by clicking on the small icon

.
Give the path to a shared directory (either in local or network) to save your exchange file. Several people can then create their own exchange files in the same shared directory.(as illustrated below):
It's better to give the User name, in order to see possible users of PopitNG.
Once this setup is done, you can just send message to other users !
Send messages:
To send a message, click on the icon located in the circular, menu where you can see something that looks like a " note network".
Then select a recipient for your note (you can also choose to keep a backup copy of the note) and, the message is sent...

sent notes will keep the orginal font size and color and can be sent with an alarm as well...

Modify the path to the data files
You just need to define the new location for your data file using 3rd Tab of the Setup menu

on the notes distributor.
